Hi Everyone -- are you all looking at this? I am wondering how many people have worked out how to sign on.

TPS 5 Workshops on Lingering

Nine artists travelled around and around on city rail, circling central Sydney, boarding at Central Station, around to Town Hall, Wynard, Circular Quay, Museum, St James and back to Central. Our mission was to experiment with the notion of commanding momentary lingering by other people using trains.

Some of the artists left hand written messages or hand made gift objects at platforms and on train carriages in hope to inspire a unsuspecting recipient to momentarily delight in magic of an anonymous gift. Others used unusual mobile phone conversations as a devise to conjure interest or began conversations with strangers on the train.

As a documenter, I found myself excited when I was able to capture the moment with my stills camera when gifts / messages were picked up by someone or when I was able to photograph an expression on someone's face obviously affected by the artists actions.

I want to publish some photos, but haven't quite worked it out. Somaya, I will email them to you -- would you mind doing it for me? I will take some time to learn very shortly, as I have many more great pictures from the day to show.

Great idea, Somaya. Fantastic. Thank you for organising it. It was such a great weekend. Thanks to everyone who participated. I had so much fun! I will forward documentation (alex's and mine) and text as discussed in due course. In the mean time, I hope everyone participates.
